This traditional lucky English sixpence comes with a dainty little Nottingham lace bag finished with ribbon. Made in England, this makes a lovely little keepsake for the bride to be.
Dating back to 1600's, the sixpence has traditionally been given as a token of luck at English weddings. I twas often given by the brides father to his daughter on her wedding day to symbolise wealth, prosperity and happiness and to ward off evil spirits thought to be present during the passage of rites.
