Treat your Christmas pudding to a little bit of English tradition by inserting lucky sixpences into it.
Four sixpence coins come presented in a gold coloured jute bag embellished with red leaves and gold berries to add that festive feel.
In England, silver coins (traditionally sixpences) are often added to the Christmas pudding as it is believed that finding a coin brings good luck and wealth for the year ahead. Sixpences were first produced on mass in 1816 and left circulation in 1980. They still provide a talking point and grand finale to the Christmas meal. All the sixpences supplied by us are boiled and polished for you.
We suggest that you wrap them in a little bit of foil before adding them to the pudding, this saves you having to clean them again afterwards. - Silver foil provided for your convenience.
If you require a sixpence of a particular date please let us know and we will source this for you. There may be an added charge depending on the value of the coin
